Not all Commissions have Fur or Feathers

Not all Commissions have Fur or Feathers

As an artist, there is always a sense of excitement when presented with a new and unique project. Recently, I was commissioned me to paint 3 National Trust houses as a leaving present. This was something a little different for me, but I was eager to take on the challenge.

For this project, I decided to use a combination of pen and watercolour to capture the essence of each National Trust house. The fine lines of the pen added intricate details to the architecture, while the watercolours brought life and vibrancy to the paintings.

From the moment I started sketching the first house to the final brushstroke on the last painting, I enjoyed every minute of the process. There is something truly special about bringing historic buildings to life on paper, preserving their beauty for years to come.
